I realize that this is my first upload, but I assure you it is a good one. Please leave some positive feedback. Also Please don't hit and run this one. And as with all music apps, don't make money with cracked software. My connection is not the greatest, but I'll do what I can to get this to you.

Thank you so much for posting this. My fat hands have been pawing at this for weeks. I'll let you know how it goes.

I realize that the directions may be somewhat confusing so here they are in layman's terms:
DO NOT RUN PROGRAM BEFORE SETUP OF v1.08 IS COMPLETE!

1. Unpack contents of rar files in both v1.0 and v1.08 folders. (You will now have an ISO file titled "ALCHEMY_104" from rar files in v1.0 folder and two rar files titled "AlchemyWin-1-08" and "DYNAMiCS" from rar files in v1.08 folder)

2. Mount "ALCHEMY_104" ISO using program such as Power ISO, and run "AlchemySetup" within ISO. (These instructions will be geared towards installing to default directories)

3. Unpack "AlchemyFactoy-1of2-1-04" to any location. The resulting folder will be titled "Presets" Copy the folder named "Factory" within the "Presets" folder to install directory- C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Alchemy\Alchemy\Presets

4. Unpack "AlchemyFactoy-2of2-1-04" to any location. The resulting folder will be titled "Samples" Copy the folder named "Factory" within the "Samples" folder to install directory- C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Alchemy\Alchemy\Samples

5.Extract files from "Alchemy" within "DYNAMiCS" folder contained in ISO to- C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Alchemy. Choose to copy and replace "Alchemy.dll"

6. In the "Addons" folder contained in the ISO are two rar files. One is "AlchemyAtmospheric-1-04.rar" and the other is "AlchemyElectronic-1-04.rar" The steps for these will be the same as for "AlchemyFactoy-1of2-1-04" in step 3 as they are also presets.

7. You are now done with the ISO. Next, Locate extracted files from v1.08 folder "AlchemyWin-1-08" and "DYNAMiCS" Extract both of these to the same folder.

8. First copy contents of "DYNAMiCS" folder to- C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Alchemy (choose to copy and replace)

9. Once you have done this open extracted "AlchemyWin-1-08" folder and copy "Alchemy Setup to- C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Alchemy\Alchemy ( choose to copy and replace).

10. You should now be able to open up your DAW and use this awesome plugin. If you are still having issues try a simple fix for this and many other music apps; run as administrator. Even better, just set your DAW to run as admin, and anything that opens within it will as well and you'll never have to worry about that.

I realize that there may be better ways of installing this, and if you have found one I would implore you to post it so we can all enjoy this. This is just the way I did this to get this to run on my PC.

I installed this today. No real issues. I am a total dummy with things like this but if you follow the instructions it will work.
A couple things. When you run set-up it will ask you to get a flkey from Camel Audio, just ignore this and hit next.
SO, I followed the instructions but I think I goofed and added the presets from the file and not the ISO. This worked fine for me. But I noticed my mistake and I used the ISO file for the add-ons and they didn't work.
I will try to paste them from the file and not the ISO and see if that works.
It seems a little tricky but if I can do it so can you.

So I uninstalled everything and reinstalled using the instructions I gave last night to make sure they would work. There was one problem. The plugin was running in version 1.04.

To fix this all I had to do was run the "Alchemy Setup" from step 9. This is the one that gets copied to- C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Alchemy\Alchemy. Run this from within the directory that you copied it to and choose to re-install when asked in the setup.

After that just repeat step 8 to make sure you have the Vv1.08 Alchemy.dll and AlchemyKey.aky

That should do it. Let me know how it turns out and if you have any questions.

I still can't get the Add-ons to work. It says I need the file key to play them. Any advice?

First try copying contents on "DYNAMiCS" folder from the v1.08 rars to C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\Alchemy... (choose to copy and replace). If that doesn't work I would suggest uninstalling and deleting all files from the install directory and trying it over with the directions that I gave. It is working perfect for me.

Many thanks for this. The set up procedure is a bit longwinded, but following your install procedure, got it working ok. I think unpacking directly into the correct folder, rather than unpacking into an arbitary folder and then copying over might speed it up a bit, but I havent tried this, as your way works. It does work to unpack files directly into the correct folder, and that is exactly how I did it the first time. I made the instructions as I did to make it fool proof, because I come across too many of these torrents with questions like "how do I open a rar file?" So I tried to make it to where just about anyone could do it and eliminate questions. So if you know what you are doing I would suggest unpacking directly to the correct install directory.

after several attempts I CANNOT get this to work.. when I try to open this through my host it keeps saying "no key is found and is disabled..." I am not new to this sort of thing AT ALL, and have followed the instructions carefully, even the new ones stated here about running new setup from step 9.. PLZ HELP?!

says I need to download the key from their website and save it to my desktop, yet there is nothing in the instructions about needing the key on my desktop or copying one there... I even tried copying what I believe to be the key, to my desktop, and still nothing.. apologies if I am missing something somewhere?

seven times now, 4 different ways and 3 times as the instructions read, none work. perhaps this worked at one time, but it doesn't anymore. shame too I heard good things about this one.

The only thing that I can think of is that maybe your firewall needs to be blocking your DAW from accessing internet. Are you positive that when you are opening this plugin that it isn't accessing internet?

U guys are far, I cant even get to step 3.. Having problems with the destination folder.. I can click "next" all I want, it just freezes..

can anyone provide me with any help... whilst on step 2 its asking for a directory folder to save on the desktop i havent got a clue what it means, every other step is fine but my DAW (cubase) won't pick up the plug in. Everything is present in the folders yet i cant see it when i run cubase... It has to be something to do with this step!!!

i cant get passed the first couple of steps as it wont install without factory files from camel audio

okay...i ended up ignoring the fact I needed to download the license and copy it to my desktop and carried on with the steps
but now when I open it in my FL studio it says it needs the license from my desktop
any suggestions?

very nice :) works fine for me after following instructions.. just make sure you copy the files from the ISO to your alchemy directory. i reinstalled then noticed this was problem.

1 thing though is that i cant get the electronic and atmosphere presets to work.. and ive already moved the key's to my desktop so i cant figure out why they dont work :S

oh and if it asks you for the licence again just copy it to your desktop again

wow, i got there in the end. it works fine just make sure you read the instructions carefully.

for the life of me I can not seem to get the keyfile to work. when I try to load a preset it says keyfile for this preset is not found even tho it seems to be in there. even on desktop. please help with this cause I can only use the factory presets.

Kinda took a while following the directions in the comments, and then the secondary directions, but it works perfect with Windows 7 Ableton Live 8.2. Thanks dannyboy!

Installed and reinstalled the program as per the instructions 3 times,installation is done successfully every time but can't get the shortcut key to start with.In the quick launch too there are just 3 options install uninstall and the webpage to download factory content.
I know it may sound silly but it happens with many of us.
Comeon guys please suggest if you know what to do.I need this software urgently.If its good then i m gonna buy it.

I followed every step to the letter, but I just end up with the folders loaded with copied stuff and the installer. No matter how many time I try reinstall or relocating, I never get the program. (Reinstall option in setup at end seems to do squat)
Is there possibly a bug in the installer?

Hi, I appreciate your upload but your instructions are really not that good. You don't mention any where that you have to leave the key on the desktop? And then you go backwards in your instructions. This is hard enough at is, and I'm afraid you have made it 10 times harder. Maybe you should rewrite out exactly how you done it? I had it working once but now I have everything right, but I get just the write and read buttons on the synth showing. I will keep trying to resolves this. Thanks for the upload but please make sense.

Man, I've been following these directions 3 or 4 times now, but the DLL just won't show up in Live. Goddamnit.

In order to get Alchemy working on Live (which you must do in order to use the program) you have to open up Live and go to Options>Preferences

On the left, you should be in 'File Folder'. Once you're in 'File Folder' there will be a heading that says "Plug-In Sources". Click Browse to find the folder you installed Alchemy in and click Rescan. Alchemy will then come up on the left under 'Plug ins' and all you have to do to open it is double click on it. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the up. It works without issue. Installation was a bit tricky as for some reason 7zip would not unpack the "factory" files into the install directory so I had to unpack them to a new folder and then copy them over manually... So if anyone else is having trouble there, do that.

But yeah, once its up and running it's great!

Only thing I dont like about the synth is how the "mod wheel" is linked to a different control for a lot of the presets, meaning, if I link my mod wheel on my controller to whatever control the "mod Wheel" for the preset is linked to, I'll have to re-link it to another control when I change presets. Not good for when you're just searching for a nice patch to start messing with.
But if you dont use a hardware controller, then that wont be much of an issue, and it's really only a small issue to begin with. Still a nice beefy synth.
